There's nothing to measure.
meetDo is for one thing: meeting someone, for real, in the same place. Anything that would pull you away from that moment, we chose not to build. Here is that choice, in writing.
-
Nobody rates you. #
There will never be stars under your name. A rating shrinks a whole afternoon into a number, and that number ends up deciding who dares to show up next time. You come as you are. So do they.
-
Nobody is ranked. #
A number on screen always ends up sorted, and sorting makes a first and a last. Where a yes is enough, meetDo keeps the yes.
-
Your effort is yours alone. #
Your pace, your kilometres and your calories stay with you. You come to run with someone, and the slowest in the group went on exactly the same run as everyone else.
-
No streak to lose. #
No flame goes out because you missed a Tuesday. An app that makes you feel guilty for staying home wants to keep you on the screen. Come back when you feel like it: your spot will still be there.
-
No likes to wait for. #
What you lived doesn't need applause from strangers to count. meetDo shows no like counters. There are people to meet, and that's all there is to see.
-
Your schedule stays yours. #
Nothing meetDo publishes says both where you are and that you're there every week. Put together, a place and a habit map out your life for a stranger. The product refuses to write that sentence, even when you're the one asking.
-
Your attention isn't for sale. #
meetDo sells neither ads nor data. So it has no reason to keep you in front of the screen a minute longer. The best session is the one where you forget your phone.
What we keep.
A first name. A time, a place. A spot saved for you, and someone who is really waiting.
10 real friends beat 10,000 virtual ones.
